FAQs

The short answer: No, because we prioritize innovation over labels.

While we design, develop, and assemble every watch in Switzerland, we do not carry the "Swiss Made" label. Here is why:

  • The Technology: Our unique electronic modules are sourced globally to ensure the best performance. Under Swiss law, the movement must be Swiss-made for the watch to bear the label.
  • The Craftsmanship: Although technically not "Swiss Made," all our watches undergo final assembly and rigorous quality control in our Swiss workshops.
  • Swiss Heart: We apply the highest Swiss quality standards to every component and ship every order directly from Switzerland.

Yes, ELZ is 100% Swiss-owned and operated.

Since January 2026, all our operations have been centralized under one roof in Bienne, the heart of Swiss watchmaking.

Our ELZ_LAB serves as a single hub for every stage of our process:

  • Creation: Design & Technical Development.
  • Craftsmanship: Watch Assembly & Rigorous Quality Control.
  • Business: Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support.
  • Logistics: Global shipping directly from our Swiss headquarters.

By keeping everything "under one roof," we ensure the highest standards of communication, quality, and Swiss expertise in every timepiece we create.

What's included depends on your destination:

United States: the price includes all import duties, taxes and shipping — nothing more to pay on delivery.

Switzerland: the price includes Swiss VAT.

All other countries: the price covers the product, and shipping is free on orders over $250. Local VAT, import duties or customs fees are not included and may be charged separately on delivery, according to your local regulations.

All our watches do embark a Patented Module with Latest Generation of Led's powered by Lithium batteries. The movement is either a High end Quartz or a Mechanical movement depending the Collection.

We wanted a large battery for aesthetical reasons, but we have an in-house electrical module to convert the 3v into the 1.5v needed for the movement. When replacing the battery, you should go for a 3V battery, the watch system will convert the voltage.

Watch batteries can be changed at any watchmaker's store. Please do not try changing it yourself, as the waterproofing needs to be redone after the operation.

The watch battery typically lasts 2-3 years, without using the light function. 1use of the LEDs per day: around 25 months. 3 per day: 20 months. 5/day: 17 months. 10 per day?? 10 months!

The glass is made out of K1 Mineral Glass with a Anti Reflective Coating.

Yes our watches are covered by a 2 year-long warranty. Please refer to our Terms of Warranty for further details.

On the The Nylon & SteelZ collection, the straps are interchangeable with a easy push pin.
